Empress Nicole the Great
Queen Mother I of the Americas
Nicole Murray-Ramirez, widely known within the Imperial Court System as Empress Nicole the Great, Queen Mother I of the Americas, became the organization’s international head after being anointed by the founder, José Sarria.
A longtime LGBTQ+ activist, humanitarian, and community leader, Murray-Ramirez has carried forward Sarria’s legacy by expanding the Court’s charitable impact across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Under her leadership, the Imperial Court System continues to raise millions for social services, civil rights causes, HIV/AIDS support, and community empowerment efforts, while preserving the rich history, pageantry, and activism that José Sarria established.
Her stewardship honors the past while guiding the Court boldly into its future.
